Kintera(R) Inc. (NASDAQ:KNTA) today announced the
availability of online grant application software, Kintera Online
Grants, that helps foundations and other grant making organizations
capture grant applications more flexibly and efficiently -- without
requiring a new grant making system.
Kintera Online Grants enables foundations and other grant making
organizations to create grant applications online, including features
such as letters of inquiry and saved applicant profiles for future
application use. In addition, foundations can offer nonprofit
organizations the convenience of managing grant-related documents and
checking grant status online.
"Kintera Online Grants was developed to meet the high demand for
online grant application capabilities that exists within the
foundation community," said Debbie Snyder, general manager of directed
giving for Kintera Inc. "In addition, Kintera Online Grants can be
used with existing grant making systems, which means that foundations
don't need to invest in new systems."
Kintera Online Grants is a product within the Kintera Sphere(TM)
suite of solutions for nonprofit organizations. Using the Kintera
Sphere platform, the online grants software is integrated with Kintera
Contact Relationship Management (CRM). As a result, foundations can
build relationships with the nonprofit organizations throughout the
applications process and can use the contact information captured
online in future outreach communications. In addition, the grant
software is integrated with Kintera Content Management System (CMS),
which enables foundations to customize the content and branding of the
online application.
"It is critical that community foundations be able to develop the
processes to accept online grant applications," said Carla Dearing,
president and CEO of Community Foundations of America, and key member
of the Community Foundation Technology Steering Committee that helped
catalyze the development of the system. "Kintera Online Grants helps
improve collaborative decision making, and connects grantee
information and processes more effectively."
