KHD Humboldt Wedag International Ltd. Appoints Deloitte & Touche LLP as Its New Auditors

HONG KONG, Oct. 30  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- KHD Humboldt Wedag International Ltd. (the "Company") (NASDAQ:KHDH) today announced that the Company's Audit Committee of the Board of Directors has appointed Deloitte & Touche LLP ("Deloitte"), as its new auditors, effective immediately.  The Company said that the change of auditors is not expected to delay any filings, and that the Company expects to announce its results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2006 on or about November 14, 2006.  Deloitte works in approximately 150 countries serving more than one-half of the world's largest companies.
