Image Systems Takes CFS Calibration Software to the Next Level
New Software Release Provides Increased Image Quality to Help View and Diagnose
Medical Images
MINNEAPOLIS, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Image Systems Corporation, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Communications Systems, Inc. and a leader in PACS display
solutions, today announced a major new release of its powerful CFS (C)
Calibration Feedback System software product. This new software enables
Information Technology personnel, PACS Administrators, and Radiologists, in
hospitals and clinics, to properly calibrate and maintain the image quality of
displays that are used in the viewing and diagnosis of medical images. With
CFS, customers are now able to perform their responsibilities with greater
ease, added levels of control, and additional flexibility in supporting the
policies of the health care institution they serve.
Imaging customers find that bundled display solutions typically result in a
lower cost of ownership. Delivering on the needs of our customers, more than
10 critical features and functions have been added to the latest version of
CFS. CFS now offers customers new graphing capabilities, support for TG18
images and procedures (developed by the American Association of Physicists in
Medicine), additional options for automatically logging compliance activities,
extended options for look-up table creation and use, comprehensive scheduling
capabilities, and security measures aiding in HIPPA compliance.
"The enhanced release of CFS has many new functions and features, answering the
needs of today's customer," stated Jeff Stoll, Customer Support Engineer at
Image Systems.
"Our engineering team has done a great job in listening to our customers. They
have incorporated the desirable features identified by customers who use this
product everyday in the field."
CFS (C) Calibration Feedback System software can be run in a local mode, across
a network, or even across multiple sites to view, calibrate, monitor, and
manage deployed display hardware and software throughout a health care
institution. Measurement to the DICOM Part 14 standards can be accomplished on
a hands-free basis through the use of integrated front retractable sensors on
the monitors.
The software also supports the Image-XMP series, Matrox MED series, and Matrox
RAD series of graphics cards, the Image Systems' line of 2MP, 3MP, and 5MP
medical grade display monitors, and the Korean-based WIDE branded series of
medical display monitors.
