InfoVista (NASDAQ: IVTA) (Euronext IFV - FR0004031649), the leader in
service-centric performance management software, today announced its
inclusion in Software Magazine's 2006 Software 500 list of
the world's foremost software and services providers, published as an
online catalog at www.Softwaremag.com.
Placing at number 268 on the 2006 Software 500 list, InfoVista’s
advancement of 35 slots in the rankings from last year is indicative of
the company’s corporate momentum despite the
industry’s flat growth rate in software and
services. InfoVista is exceeding expectations for enterprises and
service providers with leading-edge, performance management software
that links network activity with the end-user experience.
“The 2006 Software 500 results show that
growth in the software and services industry was flat from 2004 to 2005,
the ranking year. The industry continues to be dynamic with more than 90
new companies on the list this year,” said
John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. “Strong
segments this year included security and system integration services.
While much of the growth is coming from outside the U.S. in the services
segment, the flattening world effect is sending some of it back too.
“Total employee head count is down from the
previous year’s Software 500, reversing a
growth trend. The industry produced about the same revenue with fewer
employees,” continued Desmond.
InfoVista’s service-centric approach and
advanced technology has led the company to the forefront of managing
next generation, ‘always on’
services. This fall, InfoVista will be conducting a road show on “IP
Convergence: The Road to Success.” InfoVista
will discuss the challenges of managing and delivering converged
applications including IP telephony, and provide a set of convergence
best practices to achieve superior end-user satisfaction with IT
services over a shared network. The IP Convergence road show started in
New York on Oct. 26, and will be in Dallas on Nov. 2, Sydney, Australia
on Nov. 21 and Atlanta on Nov. 28. For more information please visit www.infovista.com/roadshow06.
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest
software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises,
their IT professionals, software developers and business managers
involved in software and services purchasing. The list includes both
private and public companies; 37 percent of the 2005 Software 500
companies are private. The Software 500 is searchable by primary
business sector on www.Softwaremag.com,
which is free to all site registrants.
“This accolade reflects the continued success
of InfoVista’s service-centric performance
management solutions for assuring optimal delivery of business-critical
IT services,” said Jean-Luc Valente, senior
vice president, marketing and strategic alliances with InfoVista. “By
being highly responsive to customer needs and continuing to focus on
innovative performance solutions for high-growth markets in the IT
enterprise sector as well as communication service provider, we are able
to help Fortune 1000 firms and government agencies harness the growing
management complexity of IT infrastructure and in turn sustain our
double-digit growth organically.”
The Software 500 ranking is based on total worldwide software and
service revenue for 2005. This includes revenues from software licenses,
maintenance and support, training and software-related services and
consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue,
since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial
information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co., as
well as from public documents, and posted at www.Softwaremag.com.
