InPhonic, Inc. (NASDAQ:INPC), a leading online seller of
wireless devices and services, today named Brian J. Curran as Chief
Operating Officer. Before joining InPhonic, Curran served as Best
Buy's vice president of customer centricity, retail customer
experience and customer care, the heart of Best Buy's acclaimed
customer-focused sales and service initiatives.
For more than a decade, Curran has been one of the most respected
consumer electronic industry operators at both Best Buy and CompUSA.
For the last six years, Curran has served Best Buy as vice president
of customer centricity, enterprise customer care and retail customer
experience. He was responsible for the fulfillment and customer
service operations of the 100 million customer service phone calls
that Best Buy receives annually. Curran was also uniquely instrumental
in managing the launch of BestBuy.com. Before Best Buy, Curran served
as vice president at CompUSA overseeing all facets of the sales and
vertical market segments, including a 1,000 plus member call center
and managing over 200 sales offices nationwide with annual sales of
$1.7 billion.
