Instinet Group Incorporated (Nasdaq-INGP) ("Instinet
Group") today announced that its Board of Directors has determined
that a special meeting of stockholders for the primary purpose to
adopt the merger agreement between Instinet Group, Incorporated and
The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. will be held on September 21, 2005 at
2:00 p.m. EST at Instinet Group's corporate offices located at Three
Times Square, New York, NY. The record date for the special meeting
will be August 26, 2005. Only stockholders who hold Instinet Group
shares as of the close of business on that day will be entitled to
attend and vote at the special meeting.
