Hyperion (Nasdaq Global Select: HYSL), the global leader in Business
Performance Management (BPM) software, today announced the availability
of Hyperion System 9 BI+ on HP Integrity servers as the next products
available in the three-year development of 64-bit technologies between
the two companies. The companies have worked to deliver a complete,
highly-scalable business intelligence (BI) platform that offers a
breadth of analytic functionality, along with the reporting solutions to
maximize enterprise BI investments.
The Hyperion BI solution running on HP Integrity servers supports the
increased diversity, sophistication, and processing intensity needed by
the growing number of BI/BPM users across the enterprise. The solutions
also address the challenges faced by decision-makers that include the
volume of data that today’s BI and BPM
solutions must query, and the expanding number and range of information
sources that can be leveraged with BI.
Available today is Hyperion System 9 BI+ for HP Integrity servers
running HP-UX 11i and Windows. A robust platform with increased
capacity, scalability and enhanced availability, HP-UX 11i running on HP
Integrity servers is a strategic platform for Hyperion. As such, new
releases and future updates of Hyperion solutions will be scheduled to
be available on the HP-UX 11i running on HP Integrity server platform at
the time of general availability. Finally, Hyperion and HP are
conducting a series of global marketing programs designed to drive
enterprise customer demand for Hyperion’s BI
solution on HP Integrity servers.
“This agreement demonstrates the strength and
commitment of our dedication to bringing market-leading solutions to our
customers,” said Rich Clayton, vice president
of product marketing at Hyperion. “Offering
Hyperion products on HP Integrity servers will help us deliver BI
solutions that can dramatically improve performance and productivity
while lowering expenses.”
“The availability of Hyperion products on HP
Integrity servers can help enterprises gain the insight they need to
better measure, manage and improve performance,”
said Michelle Weiss, vice president of marketing, Business Critical
Systems at HP. “HP Integrity servers offer
customers the flexibility and scalability needed to respond to changing
business demands.”
Several customers running Hyperion solutions on HP Integrity servers
have realized significant performance gains and ROI advantages with the
porting of Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and SQR to the 64-bit HP
Integrity server platform.
