The Board of Directors of Hydril (NASDAQ:HYDL) announces the election of
Christopher T. Seaver as Chairman of the Board, in addition to his
continuing leadership as President and Chief Executive Officer of the
company.
Christopher Seaver has served as CEO and a director of the company since
1997, and as president since 1993. He joined the company in 1985 and has
held a series of domestic and international management positions since
that time. Prior to joining Hydril, Mr. Seaver was a corporate and
securities lawyer and, before that, a Foreign Service Officer with
postings in Kinshasa, Congo and Bogotá,
Colombia. He holds J.D. and MBA degrees from Stanford University.
Richard C. Seaver has been elected Chairman Emeritus and remains a
director. Mr. Seaver has served the shareholders as an employee since
1958 and as a director since 1964. He also served as President from 1964
to 1986, as Chairman of the Board of Directors’
Executive Committee from 1964 to 1992, and Chairman of the Board of
Directors since 1992.
