      HealthTronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: HTRN) today announced the departure of Ross 
      Goolsby, Chief Financial Officer, effective on September 30, 2008, to 
      pursue other business opportunities. Mr. Goolsby agreed to provide 
      consulting services to the Company until January 2009. Richard A. Rusk, 
      who joined the Company in 2000 and is currently serving as Vice 
      President, Treasurer and Controller, will assume the role of interim 
      Chief Financial Officer.
    
    
      James Whittenburg, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated "Mr. 
      Goolsby joined the Company in 2007 and contributed to our 
      accomplishments during 2007 and 2008. We wish Mr. Goolsby great success
