Item 8.01.  Other Events.

On March 5, 2020, Heat Biologics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing a strategic collaboration with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine to support the development of a vaccine leveraging the Company’s proprietary gp96 platform designed to target the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

A copy of the press release is attached as an exhibit to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
