Penn National Gaming Set to Join S&P SmallCap 600

NEW YORK, March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Penn National Gaming Inc. (NASD: PENN) will replace Cynosure Inc. (NASD: CYNO) in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the open on Monday, March 27. S&P 500 constituent Hologic Inc. (NASD: HOLX) acquired Cynosure in a deal completed today.

Penn National Gaming owns and manages gaming and racing facilities, and operates video gaming terminals with a focus on slot machine entertainment. Headquartered in Wyomissing, PA, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Casinos & Gaming Sub-Industry index.
