Haggar Gets Perfect Vision With I-dealoptics
Haggar Announces New License Agreement For Eyewear
DALLAS, July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frank Bracken, president and chief
operating officer of Haggar Clothing Co., a leading marketer of men's and
women's casual and dress apparel, announces that it has signed a licensing
agreement with The Feldman Corporation, d.b.a. I-dealoptics, one of the leading
manufacturers of budget priced eyewear in the optical industry, to introduce
ophthalmic eyewear and sunglasses. I-dealoptics brings classic style and
outstanding quality to the Haggar(R) brand.
"Haggar is known for its high quality and classic style," stated Frank Bracken.
"The agreement with I-dealoptics is an important extension for us since we had
a desire to become a part of the fast-growing branded eyewear industry. We
looked for a company whose marketing concepts fit perfectly with Haggar's
strategic marketing plan, and our search led us to I-dealoptics."
Morton L. Feldman, president and chief operating officer of I-dealoptics,
stated, "I-dealoptics is very pleased to become a licensee of Haggar. This
agreement is our first license in our 8-year history. We have been offered
several names in the past, but none were exactly right for us. We wanted the
synergies to fit, and Haggar offers us the opportunity to introduce an original
line with an emphasis on a men's collection. We're proud to join the already
impressive line of Haggar products."
I-dealoptics' superior quality and timeless style will accent other Haggar
products such as shirts, pants and suits. The Haggar eyewear line will be
introduced at Vision Expo Las Vegas on Sept. 15, 2005. The first collection
will offer 16 styles, most in two different sizes and all in three different
colors, including a variety of monel metals, stainless/aluminums, acetate and
fresh ophthalmic sunglasses. This line will sell to optical retailers in North
America and the United Kingdom.
