Haggar Adds Jeffrey Banks as Design Consultant
Fashion Expertise Helps Support Amazing Growth Of Sportswear Business
DALLAS, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Haggar Clothing Co., a
leading marketer of men's clothing, announced the appointment of Jeffrey Banks
as a design consultant for the men's sportswear business. In this position,
Banks is responsible for leading the design direction for Fall 05 Haggar(R)
knit and woven sport shirts, providing design conceptualization and development
including signature fashion basic pieces as well as fashion forward items in a
broad variety of fabrics and silhouettes in both casual and dressy styles.
Banks is based in New York and will work closely with the company's product
development team, reporting directly to Gary Aronson, senior vice president of
merchandising at Haggar Clothing Co.

Banks brings to Haggar more than 25 years of fashion and business experience as
a leading designer in men's apparel. Banks has designed for many esteemed
brands, including Nik Nik and Merona Sport, which he launched and developed.
Banks also worked directly with Bloomingdale's, creating the launch for its own
private labels, Metropolitan View and East Island. Banks also created the
Johnnie Walker Sportswear collection and currently has a tailored clothing and
sportswear license with Hart Schaffner & Marx Co. He has received the Cutty
Sark Award for Outstanding U.S. Designer of Menswear. Currently, Banks devotes
time supporting the fashion industry as a member of the Executive Board of
Directors of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and has served
as a senior board member to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). He was
also a Design Critic at the Parson's School of Design.
