Select Income REIT Announces Proposed Offering of 24,918,421 Common Shares Owned by Government Properties Income Trust

Select Income REIT (Nasdaq: SIR) today announced that Government Properties Income Trust (Nasdaq: GOV) commenced a public offering of 24,918,421 SIR common shares owned by GOV under an effective registration statement filed by SIR. GOV will receive all of the net proceeds from the sale of these shares and has agreed to pay all costs associated with this offering. SIR will not receive any proceeds from the sale of such shares.

The joint bookrunning managers for the offering are Citigroup, BofA Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. The joint lead managers are RBC Capital Markets and Wells Fargo Securities.
