Government Properties Income Trust Announces Two Properties Recognized for Excellence by BOMA and GRACRE

Government Properties Income Trust (Nasdaq: GOV) today announced that two of its properties have recently been recognized by separate organizations for excellence. The properties are located in Minneapolis, MN (330 South Second Avenue) and Richmond, VA (9960 Mayland Drive).

GOV’s 330 South Second Avenue building in Minneapolis, MN was recently recognized as a Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) 360 designee. The BOMA 360 Performance Program® sets standards that are often referred to in the market for operational best practices in the commercial real estate industry. Earning the BOMA 360 label indicates that BOMA believes this building is outperforming the competition with regard to its operations and management.

GOV’s 9960 Mayland Drive property in Richmond, VA was recently recognized by the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) for “Best Office Renewal” for 2016. GRACRE is an organization that advocates on behalf of commercial real estate owners, developers and related professionals in the Richmond, VA area.
