Standard & Poor's Announces Changes to U.S. Indices
NEW YORK, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's will make the following
changes to the S&P 500, S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600 indices:
S&P MidCap 400 constituent Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE:WFT) will
replace Toys "R" Us Inc. (NYSE:TOY) in the S&P 500, and S&P 500 constituent
Target Corp. (NYSE:TGT) will replace Toys "R" Us in the S&P 100, after the
close of trading on a date to be announced. Toys "R" Us is being acquired by a
group of investors. Denbury Resources Inc. (NYSE:DNR) will replace Weatherford
in the S&P MidCap 400.
NCI Building Systems Inc. (NYSE:NCS) will replace OshKosh B'Gosh Inc.
(NASDAQ:GOSHA) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Thursday,
July 14. OshKosh is being acquired by Carter's Inc. (NYSE:CRI) in a deal
expected to close on or about that date. Carter's Inc. will not be added to an
S&P index at this time.

Weatherford International provides equipment and services used for the drilling
and production of oil and natural gas. Headquartered in Houston, TX, the
company will be added to the S&P 500 GICS (Global Industry Classification
Standard) Oil & Gas Equipment & Services Sub-Industry Index.
Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, Target Corp. operates general merchandise
stores.
Denbury Resources is an oil and natural gas operator. Headquartered in Plano,
TX, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS Oil & Gas Exploration
& Production Sub-Industry Index.
NCI Building Systems creates products for the non-residential construction
industry. Headquartered in Houston, TX, the company will be added to the S&P
SmallCap 600 GICS Building Products Sub-Industry Index.
