Genesys Conferencing (Euronext Eurolist: FR0004270270) (NASDAQ:GNSY), a
global multimedia conferencing leader, today announced the appointment
of Kevin O’Brien as vice president of sales
for its North America operations.
O’Brien served previously as the vice
president of the company’s East Coast national
sales division. His promotion is part of an effort designed to
strengthen the sales division to better service large-enterprise
customers more consistently across the globe. Executive Vice President
of Global Sales and Marketing Jim Lysinger will now oversee three
regional sales divisions, for North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe,
all aligned and similarly structured. “This
will greatly improve the efficiency of our sales organization as well as
our ability to provide even better support to global customers and
prospects,” Lysinger said.
In his six years with Genesys Conferencing, O’Brien
has been responsible for a number of the company’s
largest customers, helping to lead the company through a period of
unprecedented growth. “Kevin has a proven
track record of consistently achieving stellar results,”
Lysinger said. “And it’s
especially gratifying to recognize those accomplishments by promoting
someone from within the company, whose leadership abilities can now be
leveraged across a wider ambit.”
This strengthening of the Genesys North America sales management team is
the latest in a series of initiatives designed to better leverage sales
opportunities and accelerate the development of the company’s
North America market. Genesys will also be adding Sales Directors in
Philadelphia and Washington DC to further accelerate momentum in those
markets and leverage the next generation of the company’s
powerful service offering, the award-winning Genesys Meeting Center 4.0.
