Gemstar-TV Guide (NASDAQ: GMST), a leading media, entertainment and
technology company, and Digeo, Inc., maker of the Moxi®
DVR, which includes the Emmy®-award winning
Moxi Menu, today announced that they have entered into a multi-year
patent license agreement and settled their outstanding litigation by
mutually dismissing claims.
In the agreement, Gemstar TV-Guide provides Digeo with a patent license
to cover Digeo’s currently deployed program
guides (IPGs), as well as IPGs that Digeo plans to deploy with service
providers and for use on consumer electronic (CE) and personal computer
(PC) platforms.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
