South Korean internet company Interpark Corp. (035080.KQ) said Monday it hasn't completed an official contract to sell its online auction site Gmarket Inc. (GMKT) to U.S.-based eBay Inc. (EBAY).
"Our company (Interpark) hasn't so far made an official contract with eBay on the Gmarket stake sale," Gmarket's top shareholder Interpark said in a regulatory filing.
The comment came after a local online news provider edaily reported earlier that the U.S.-based company would buy a 34.2% stake in Gmarket for $413 million Wednesday.
