Large Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company to Use
GlowPoint's New Video Conferencing Services in the U.S., Canada,
Europe and South America
Glowpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOW), the world's leading IP-based video
communications service provider, today announced that it has signed a
large independent oil and gas exploration and production company to
multiple video services in the U.S., Canada, Europe and South America.
This recent multi-site customer is subscribed to GlowPoint's managed
IP network service in the U.S. and purchased GlowPoint Connect, the
company's recently launched 'bring-your-own-access' solution that
provides customers with feature-rich video communications by
leveraging their existing internal IP networks. In addition, the
company is also a customer of GlowPoint's recently introduced IVE
Mobile solution, creating a seamless user experience both in and out
of its offices worldwide.
GlowPoint Connect, available for $199 a month, allows customers to
register existing video systems on their own IP networks and access
GlowPoint's patent-pending services designed to make video
communications as easy and spontaneous as using a telephone. With its
new GlowPoint Connect service, GlowPoint offers customers the
flexibility to choose the level of service they would like to use for
each business location -- from the broadcast quality with 99.99%
reliability on GlowPoint's managed IP network, to the convenience of a
mobile solution available virtually everywhere there is a broadband
connection. By combining different levels of service at different
locations, customers receive a seamless video communications
experience with GlowPoint's "All You Can See" Unlimited Video Calling
Plans regardless of network connectivity.
"At GlowPoint, our goal is to meet the diverse video communication
needs of our customers," said David Trachtenberg, Chief Executive
Officer of GlowPoint. "Our suite of services provides a consistent
user experience regardless of IP-connectivity from as low as $35 with
our IVE Mobile solution, to our managed broadcast-quality solution for
mission critical applications. By providing our 'All You Can See'
solution at different price points, we are able to tailor our
end-to-end solutions to all of our customers' video requirements
worldwide."
Some of the other services in the GlowPoint suite include
GlowPoint Managed IP, a committed quality of service video
communications solution, IVE Mobile, a comprehensive IP-based video
communications solution that can be used anywhere there is broadband
access, and GlowPoint Network Services, a video communications
solution tailored for ISDN networks. GlowPoint exclusive and patent
pending features include the '000' Live Video Operator service,
"Lisa," the GlowPoint Video Call Assistant, as well as innovative
applications such as Video Call Mailboxes and Direct-Dial Video
Numbers.
