Evite Wins HALO Award for Evite Donations™ Feature

LOS ANGELES, June 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Evite, the world's leading online and text invitation service, today announced the company has won the 2018 Silver Halo Award for Best Consumer Donation/Crowdfunding Campaign for its Evite Donations feature.

The Halo Awards are North America's highest honor for corporate social initiatives and cause marketing and presented by Engage for Good (formerly Cause Marketing Forum). This is the sixteenth year that Engage for Good honored businesses and nonprofits with Halos for doing well by doing good.

Evite launched its Evite Donations feature after the company began noticing that hosts wanted to ask guests to donate to their favorite charity in lieu of bringing gifts to their parties. Collaborating with Pledgeling to create a seamless donation experience, Evite embedded donation functionality into event invitations, enabling hosts to add a nonprofit and personally ask guests to donate to their cause of choice. If guests choose to donate (anonymously if they'd like), guests receive an immediate receipt for tax purposes. The host can then thank each of their guests with a customizable thank you note.

Over 50,000 events have been pledged to charity through Evite Donations with hundreds of thousands of guests donating to their hosts' favorite causes. To date, over $7 million has been raised by Evite Donations for over 5,000 nonprofit organizations, and donations doubled each quarter in 2017. Donations go to organizations large and small in every cause area imaginable.
