Item 8.01 Other Events.

On November 23, 2016, TerraForm Global, Inc. (the “ Company ”) issued a press release announcing that TerraForm Global Operating, LLC (“ TerraForm Global ”), a subsidiary of the Company, would extend the expiration time of the consent solicitation (the “ Consent Solicitation ”), announced on November 15, 2016, from holders of its 9.75% Senior Notes due 2022 to 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on December 2, 2016, unless further extended or terminated by TerraForm Global.

All other aspects of the Consent Solicitation remain unchanged and in effect.

A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on this Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
