Frontier Financial Corporation Announces Nonrecurring Gain

Frontier Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:FTBK) announced a
nonrecurring gain of $2.1 million includable in first quarter 2006 net
income. The gain was realized on the sale of a portion of property
that had been owned for several years that initially was purchased for
potential branch expansion.
   Frontier is a Washington-based financial holding company providing
financial services through its commercial bank subsidiary, Frontier
