Source Technologies and TouchPoint Solutions Expand Partnership for New Branch
Banking Technology
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Source Technologies, a leading
provider of solutions for secure payments and self-service systems, today
announced that it has integrated its new Concourse(TM) assisted self-service
solution with the TouchPoint suite from TouchPoint Solutions. TouchPoint
Solutions, a division of Fidelity Information Services, is a recognized best-
of-breed provider of multi-channel customer interaction management solutions to
the banking industry.
Concourse supports a variety of teller-assisted transaction types for maximum
operational efficiency at the teller line. For example, the new product
supports deposits and withdrawals using cash recycling technology, check
read/imaging for Check-21 readiness and MICR counter document preparation.
The assisted self-service device talks to the Concourse server, which drives all
devices and peripherals. The integration work achieved means that Source
Technologies' Concourse server is fully integrated with TouchPoint Enterprise
Services(TM), the architecture at the heart of the TouchPoint suite that
communicates with the bank's host system. When a customer is using the
self-service device, information such as account type, balance and recent
transactions can be easily and seamlessly accessed. TouchPoint then routes
information back to the branch server for cashbox balancing, electronic journal
of activity, 2pm business day cutoff, and other functions.
In a typical minimal deployment, the Concourse system brings together up to four
assist stations with one teller monitoring station so that as many as four
customers can be serviced by the system concurrently. The system has the
ability to share one or more printers, recyclers and other peripherals.
Integration with TouchPoint translates to a rapid deployment through Concourse.
"Integrating Concourse with TouchPoint to bring a total solution to the branch
is a big step in the right direction," said Miles Busby, CEO of Source
Technologies. "We are currently piloting this with a large financial
institution in the southeast, and we predict the results will speak for
themselves. The benefits that Concourse provides are very compelling -- we can
save the bank both time and money through better FTE ratios, cash management and
customer service. The ability to access customer information seamlessly through
TouchPoint Enterprise Services expands our prospective customer base."
The two companies also have a long history of working together to bring forms
management to financial institutions. Source Technologies' FormsPartner(R) is
an easy-to-use, server-based electronic forms software solution that accepts
data from TouchPoint, merges it with the appropriate form and then outputs the
completed form to printers and other devices.
"The combined solution of TouchPoint and FormsPartner has enabled one northeast
bank to centrally control forms design, management and distribution, thereby
eliminating the need for costly preprinted forms," said Jim Szyperski, president
of TouchPoint Solutions. "The expansion of our partnership to teller assist is
another important milestone."
Source Technologies will launch Concourse(TM) at the Bank Administration
Institute's Retail Delivery Conference and Expo in New Orleans, November 17 -
21, 2003. The product will be demonstrated at Source Technologies' booth #1017.
As the fulfillment partner for large deployments, maintenance and consulting
services, IBM will also be demonstrating the product at booth #1907.
