FNB Southeast (NASDAQ: FNBF), opened its newest bank branch and Coastal Headquarters on October 10, 2006. The bank and regional officials occupy 6,700 square feet in a new building called the FNB Southeast Center, located across from Mayfaire Town Center at the corner of Sir Tyler Drive and Military Cutoff Road. The center was designed by architect Paul Briggs and constructed by Wrightsville Builders. The developer is Tri-Coast Properties. In addition to the Mayfaire area branch, FNB Southeast serves Coastal NC clients from branches at 704 South College Road in Wilmington, and 301 Fremont Street in Burgaw. The bank also has a construction lending office at 7210 Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington. In making the announcement, FNB Southeast Coastal Region President Paul McCombie said: “This new branch will help FNB Southeast serve our banking, mortgage and investment customers in modern, efficient, and conveniently located facilities. The branch has six teller windows, three drive-through lanes, four customer service offices, and an easily accessible ATM. Of course, there is ample parking.” Interior Designer Kathy Moretti incorporated numerous coastal features into the headquarters. Fountains flow in front and in back of the building, and within the lobby. As clients enter the bank, they are greeted by a black granite waterfall. Paintings from local artists feature Johnny Mercer’s Pier at Wrightsville Beach, Downtown Wilmington, the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, and scenes from other Wilmington landmarks. The décor reflects the green of the sea and tan shades of sand. Pressley Ridgill, President and CEO of the financial services corporation, said, “Since 1996 when we opened our first coastal branch, deposits have grown to more than 20% of our overall system total. We also have more than $260 million of loans in this region. Our mortgage and investment subsidiaries consider the North Carolina coast to be prime territory for service to clients,” he added. “Today, we serve thousands of coastal area customers with a full range of financial services.” FNB Financial Services Corporation is a financial holding company with one subsidiary, FNB Southeast; a North Carolina chartered commercial bank. FNB Southeast currently operates 18 banking offices in North Carolina and Virginia, along with additional mortgage origination offices through its mortgage subsidiary, FNB Southeast Mortgage Corporation. A separate investment subsidiary of the bank operates as FNB Southeast Investment Services, Inc.
