The Board of Directors of FNB Financial Services Corporation
(NASDAQ:FNBF) has named Elizabeth S. Ward to the Board of FNB Southeast.
Ward is a CPA and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Moses Cone
Health System in Greensboro.
In comments about the appointment, FNB CEO Pressley Ridgill said: “Beth
Ward brings to our bank’s board an impressive
career in healthcare finance and governance, as well as a distinguished
record of community service.”
Ward previously served in financial positions at UNC Hospitals and
UNC-Chapel Hill Division of Health Affairs. She began at the Hospitals
in 1986 as Budget Manager. She received increasing responsibilities over
the next ten years, and was Associate Vice Provost for Finance when she
was appointed Corporate Controller at Moses Cone Health System in 1996.
In Greensboro, she is on the Board of Hospice and Palliative Care of
Greensboro, where she served as Treasurer; on the Advisory Board of the
Bryan School of Business; on the LeBauer HealthCare Governing Council;
the Board of Spectrum Laboratory; and a Management Board member for the
Surgery Centers Joint Venture.
Her professional affiliations include membership in the Health
Management Academy; the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants; and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She
was previously a member of the University Managers Association and the
National Association of Colleges and Business Officers.
She holds an MBA from UNC-Greensboro and a BS in Business Finance and
Insurance from Radford University in Radford, VA.
