DULLES, Va., June 6  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FLYi, Inc. (NASDAQ:FLYI)
reported preliminary May 2005 passenger traffic results today for low-fare
airline Independence Air.  The airline generated 311.7 million revenue
passenger miles (RPMs), while available seat miles (ASMs) were 427.5 million.
Independence Air load factor for May was 72.9%.  For the month, 535,262
passengers were carried.

For the five months ended May 31, 2005, RPMs were at 1.1 billion, while ASMs
were 1.8 billion.  The company carried 2,319,710 passengers during the first
five months of 2005.
