FBR Announces Kent Carstater Appointment as Managing Director in Investment Banking

FBR Capital Markets Corporation (Nasdaq:FBCM), a leading investment bank serving the middle market, announced today the addition of Kent D. Carstater to the firm's Financial Institutions Investment Banking group. Mr. Carstater will serve as a managing director in FBR Capital Market's Arlington, Virginia office.

Previous to that, Mr. Carstater was a Managing Director at Resource America, where he focused on private equity investments in banking institutions, and a Principal at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods. Mr. Carstater has successfully completed more than 80 capital markets and merger and acquisition advisory transactions for his clients, totaling over $11 billion in value. Mr. Carstater earned a Bachelor of Finance at Virginia Tech and received a Master's degree from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
