Combined deals expected to reach several millions of dollars

(NASDAQ:EXFONASDAQ:TSX:NASDAQ:EXF) announced today that its AXS-200/635 Triple-Play Test Set has been approved by three different tier-1 North American network operators as the tool of choice to support their deployment of next-generation VDSL2 services and applications. The combined deals are expected to reach several millions of dollars over the next two or three years or over a mid-term horizon.

These operators recognized the need for a next-generation, handheld test set capable of operating at wideband frequencies used by ADSL2+/VDSL2 - across physical, network and application layers - to enable the efficient resolution of installation and turn-up problems during triple-play services deployment. The AXS-200/635 is the ideal choice for network operators, since a single unit includes 30 MHz, single-ended wideband copper testing to fully validate broadband deployments as well as voice, data and proven IPTV analysis/testing capabilities over established DSL, Ethernet and HPNA links.

Accurate localization and troubleshooting of typical problems found in the copper access network (including the finding and removal of commonly seen bridged taps) are simplified and accelerated thanks to EXFO's LoopMapper(TM) feature, which is critical for rapidly turning up reliable broadband services.
