Stocks to Watch: Salesforce, Microsoft, Guess, Tilly's, Semtech

Here are some of the companies with shares expected to trade actively in Thursday's session. Stock movements reflect premarket trading. Check back when the market opens for an updated list.

Campbell Soup Co. -- Down 1.2%: Campbell plans to sell its international operations and refrigerated-foods business, abandoning efforts to expand into fresh food and leaving the door open to a full sale.

Salesforce.com Inc. -- Down 1.9%: Salesforce gave weaker-than-expected earnings projections for the current quarter, though the business-software company reported broad-based sales growth and grew its backlog of business during the latest period.

Microsoft Corp. -- Down 0.2%: The software firm has risen in six straight sessions, its second streak of at least that length this month.

Electronic Arts Inc. : Electronic Arts cuts its net bookings forecast for the 2019 fiscal year. Shares of the videogame company were halted in premarket trading before the news.

Dollar General Corp. -- Down 2.4%: Dollar General gave full-year profit projections in line with Wall Street expectations, though it exceeded targets in the second quarter.

Dollar Tree Inc. -- Down 5.5%: The discount retailer's sales projections for the current quarter were roughly in line with analyst expectations.

Signet Jewelers Ltd. -- Up 13%: Signet raised its full-year financial targets after posting surprising sales growth in the most-recent quarter.

Guess? Inc. -- Up 8.3%: The clothing brand boosted its full-year revenue targets, though it posted a smaller-than-expected sales increase in the most recent quarter.

Tilly's Inc. -- Up 15%: Tilly's said same-store sales increased more than expected in its second quarter and gave stronger-than-projected figures for the current period.

Semtech Corp. -- Up 6.8%: The semiconductor firm said it expects steady sales growth to continue and exceeded quarterly revenue projections.
