The military branches awarding contracts to Cardiac Science include the Birmingham, Alabama-based U.S. Army 81st Regional Support Command, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District; the Maine National Guard and Fort Hood, Texas, the largest active duty armored post in the country. The Army unit provides command and control and direct support services for more than 30,000 soldiers.
"Our Powerheart AEDs and program services continue to be the leading choice of the U.S. military, which has become a rapidly expanding market for AEDs and AED training," said Raymond W. "Clearly these military units have the ability to select any AED manufacturer to supply products, but consistently choose Cardiac Science and the Powerheart AED because of our robust self-testing technology, overall product reliability and our ability to provide turnkey AED/CPR training and AED program management services. We plan to continue to build on these established relationships with the U.S. military with a view toward capturing an increasingly larger share of this important market segment."
