On April 4, 2012, the companies announced the definitive merger agreement under which DDi would be acquired by Viasystems Group, in a transaction valued at approximately $268 million. Under the terms of the agreement, DDi stockholders will receive $13.00 in cash for each share of DDi/DDIC common stock held. The offer price represents a 6 percent premium over DDi's closing stock price of $12.26 on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
