Commtouch® (Nasdaq:CTCH) announced today that
it signed nine new licensing agreements during the third quarter of
2006, bringing the Company’s global OEM
partner count to fifty.
The companies that signed with Commtouch include:
Managed service providers
Anti-virus vendor
Messaging Security Hardware and Software suppliers
Web Hosting providers.
The third-quarter deals are with companies based in North America, South
America, Asia, and Eastern and Western Europe.
“Signing nine deals in a single quarter is an
exceptional achievement, well over our own expectation, and a record for
Commtouch,” said Gideon Mantel, Commtouch’s
CEO. “With our geographic reach and breadth
of product coverage, having ‘RPD by Commtouch’
is becoming a pre-requisite for vendors interested in offering superior
secure messaging. We look forward to seeing the impact of these new
alliances in our future financial results.”
Commtouch’s Recurrent Pattern Detection™
technology is the basis for the Company’s
real-time spam blocking and Zero-Hour™ virus
outbreak protection offerings. These content-agnostic solutions protect
mailboxes from viruses and spam the moment an outbreak occurs, and are
successful at defending against fresh threats, such as animated
image-based spam, or new strains of viruses.
More details about each agreement are expected to be publicized as
integration work proceeds and joint products are rolled out in their
respective markets.
