Bizanga and Commtouch(R) (NASDAQ:CTCH) today announced
the integration of Commtouch's real-time virus and spam protection
technology into Bizanga's Intelligent Message Processor(TM) (IMP).
This move is expected to provide enhanced email defense options to
Bizanga's service provider and operator customers.
The Commtouch anti-spam and Zero-Hour(TM) virus prevention
technology joins other best-of-breed filtering technologies available
on the IMP to provide rapid response capabilities to operators and
service providers. Commtouch's Recurrent Pattern Detection(TM)
technology -- in conjunction with the IMP's workflow processor --
uniquely enables operators and service providers to prioritize email
traffic according to its importance. The integrated platform processes
in excess of 4.2 million email messages per hour on a single system
with this and other industry-leading third party applications. In
installations at operators across the world, the IMP already processes
well in excess of 200 million email messages per day.
"Bizanga was looking for reliable filtering technologies that
would also allow for scalable classification of the traffic flow,"
said Marc Sheldon, Chief Marketing Officer for Bizanga. "Commtouch's
RPD(TM) technology provides this capability to our customers, enabling
new ways of managing email streams in accordance with their relative
importance to the end user. Commtouch's proven email security
technology will provide protection for our customers against current
and future spam and malware threats."
The Commtouch anti-spam and Zero-Hour virus prevention module is
available for Bizanga's current and future customers as a fully
integrated optional module for the Bizanga IMP as of version 2.5,
scheduled for release in July 2006.
"We are pleased to be working with Bizanga to expand our reach to
service providers globally," said Jay Goldin, Commtouch Inc.'s Vice
President of Business Development. "Commtouch's pro-active, low
footprint technology provides a distinct edge, enabling telcos and
ISPs to block spam and protect their customers from malware at the
exact moment of an attack."
