Item 5.02

Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On November 15, 2016, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors (the "Compensation Committee") of Covenant Transportation Group, Inc., a Nevada corporation (the "Company"), considered (i) the additional duties certain named executive officers have recently assumed and (ii) an executive compensation analysis performed the Company's compensation consultant and approved new annualized base salary amounts for the following named executive officers, effective January 1, 2017:

Samuel F. Hough	$295,000
