announced that it will host an eConference that will showcase
breakthrough strategies and thought leadership in the field of
eLearning and online training programs. "Winning Online Training
Strategies" will take place September 20 - 21, 2005. Attendees will
hear real-life case studies and research findings that illustrate how
organizations have adopted winning strategies that deliver effective
performance and learning outcomes. The latest in a series, this online
event will also provide up-to-date information on how leading
organizations have used technology to effectively drive employee
performance toward business goals.
The lifelong learning movement with its emphasis on just-in-time
learning has accelerated use of online training solutions. As this
medium matures and learning professionals adapt to this environment,
many organizations have created successful online education programs
that augment traditional classroom learning. Centra's eConference will
feature a series of interactive online presentations by leading
research analysts and training executives, including Century 21,
DaimlerChrysler, and the University of Missouri. In addition to
breakout sessions, the eConference will feature two keynote
presentations by a renown expert on enterprise-wide training, and an
industry leading research analyst.
Lin Ballard, chief of Training for the Federal Prison Industries
will kick off the program on September 20 with a keynote session,
"Building an Enterprise-Wide Vision for Training," and will be
followed by two afternoon tracks that focus on specific tactics and
strategies for business and learning executives. Session topics
include "Blended Learning Pays Off in Increased Sales at Century 21"
and "ERP Rollouts, Blending the Rules at Australian Pharmaceutical
Industries." On September 21, Cushing Anderson, Program Director for
Learning Services at IDC, will present, "Examining the Link Between
Strategic Business Planning and Training in the Extended Enterprise."
Afternoon sessions include "How to Reach Your Customers the New
Fashioned Way at DaimlerChrysler" and "Being Compliant with Your
Compliance Programs at Raymond James Financial."
