Cardinal State Bank Goes Nationwide With No-Charge ATM Access



DURHAM, N.C., May 25  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cardinal State Bank
(NASDAQ:CSNC) now offers no-charge ATM access to all checking account customers
at any bank ATM in the United States, announced John W. Mallard Jr., president
and CEO for Cardinal State.

"Cardinal State Bank continues to look for ways to add value for our
customers," said Mallard. "We have offered no-charge access to any ATM in North
Carolina since we opened for business four years ago. Now, we've extended this
convenience across the country. Our customers can use any bank ATM across the
country - just as if it were our Bank's ATM. The way we describe it is: we have
the largest ATM network in the country!"

Typically, banks allow customers to use their proprietary ATMs at no charge,
but charge a service fee for using any other bank ATM and the other bank
charges an access fee, as well. CSB pays these charges for their customers.

This change represents added convenience and cost-savings to all Cardinal State
Bank checking account customers.
