Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On April 28, 2011, Park Sterling Corporation (“Park Sterling”) announced its financial results for
the first quarter ended March 31, 2011. A copy of the related press release is furnished as
Exhibit 99.1. The information included herein, as well as Exhibit 99.1 referenced herein, shall not
be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended
(the “Exchange Act”), nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference in filings under the
Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”).
Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On April 28, 2011, Park Sterling will hold an investor conference call to disclose its financial
results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2011. A copy of the slide package prepared for use by
executive management for this presentation is furnished as Exhibit 99.2. All of the information in
the presentation is presented as of April 28, 2011, and Park Sterling does not assume any
obligation to update such information in the future.

For the purposes of Rule 425 of the Securities Act, the information contained in the press release

solely to the proposed merger between Park Sterling and Community Capital Corporation (“Community
Capital”) is being filed under this Item 8.01.

will file with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) a Registration Statement on Form

of Park Sterling, as well as other relevant documents concerning the proposed transaction.
