Former United States Securities and Exchange Commission attorney Willie Briscoe and the securities litigation firm of Powers Taylor LLP are investigating potential claims against the Board of Directors of Colonial Financial Service, Inc. (“Colonial Financial”) (NasdaqGM: COBK) concerning the acquisition by Cape Bancorp, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, valued at approximately $55 million, Colonial Financial shareholders will only receive $14.50 in cash per share or 1.412 share of Cape Bancorp’s common stock, subject to 50% of the shares being exchanged for stock and 50% for cash.
