Carolina National Bank and Trust Company Names Brook Moore Commercial Bank Executive

COLUMBIA, S.C., Feb. 26  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Carolina National Bank today announced that Brook Moore has been promoted to Commercial Bank Executive.

Moore has been with Carolina National since its inception in 2002, serving as Senior Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager. He will report to Jack McElveen, Jr., who recently was named to the new position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

"Brook's outstanding track record with us, as well as his prior background in banking, makes him the perfect choice to head our commercial lending operations," Whaley said. Prior to joining Carolina National Bank, Moore was Vice President for Commercial Lending at Carolina First Bank.  He is a graduate of Clemson University with a BA in English and the South Carolina Bankers School at the University of South Carolina. He currently serves the community as a member of the Columbia East Rotary Club, the Clemson University Second Century Society, the 2007 class of Leadership Columbia, and as a YMCA youth soccer coach.

Some of Moore's new responsibilities include the daily management of all aspects of the bank's commercial banking functions. He will be involved with growth of business loans and customer satisfaction, as well as development of an annual growth plan, recommendation of new products, an effective calling plan, and the quality of the commercial loan portfolio.

Carolina National has four full service branches in the greater Columbia area. At year-end, the bank reported $208.9 million in assets.
