Click Commerce, Inc. (Nasdaq:CKCM), a leading provider
of on-demand supply chain management solutions, today announced that
Tolt Technologies Service Group, a leading provider of managed
services for technology equipment, selected the Click Commerce Returns
and Repair solution to help improve execution efficiency and
scalability across its service operations. Click Commerce Returns and
Repair will enable Tolt to reduce labor costs, improve inventory
control, and drive flexible process execution across its national
network of returns and repair centers.
Tolt Technologies Service Group manages high volume service and
repair of electronic equipment, such as point-of-sale terminals and
computers. Every day, Tolt's service supply chain manages the flow of
thousands of service components including computer motherboards, disk
drives, power supplies, and monitors. With an expanding customer base
and rapid growth in service transactions, Tolt recognized that it
needed a solution to help automate and optimize the returns and repair
process. Specifically, Tolt wanted to more effectively manage
inventory in various conditions, as well as complex returns and repair
workflows across its extended service network, while continuing to
meet all service level commitments.
"Our rapid growth required us to re-examine our technology
infrastructure and search for a solution provider with proven
expertise in helping companies optimize return operations," said Tim
Gallegos, vice president of operations at Tolt Technologies Service
Group. "We found that in Click Commerce. They were the only company
that demonstrated domain expertise of the service supply chain."
The returns and repair solution is part of the Click Commerce
Service Supply Chain suite, a comprehensive portfolio developed for
companies that require mission critical execution and real-time
visibility into service operations across their extended enterprise.
The composite solutions in the suite include Service Parts Planning
and Optimization, Reverse Logistics, Repair Depot Management,
Warehouse Management and Supply Chain Execution solutions and are
integrated via the Click Commerce Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
The Click Commerce ESB provides the flexibility to create a wide
range of composite applications that combine Click Commerce,
third-party, and legacy applications. The technology is based on
industry standards and leverages the Web services in Click Commerce's
Service Oriented Architecture. With the ESB, companies can integrate
Click Commerce solutions according to their own business processes,
instead of being forced to work in a predefined framework.
"The Service Supply Chain is the next wave of outsourcing.
Companies like Tolt are aggressively pursuing this market and
utilizing IT to create a competitive differentiation and first mover
advantage," said Nancy Koenig, executive vice president of operations
for Click Commerce. "The Click Commerce Returns and Repair software is
an important first step towards implementing a real-time, end-to-end
service supply chain solution."
