Former United States Securities and Exchange Commission attorney Willie Briscoe and the securities litigation firm of Powers Taylor LLP are investigating potential legal claims against the Board of Directors of Charm Communications Inc. (“Charm”) (NasdaqGM: CHRM) related to a going private proposal from its Chairman. Under the terms of the proposal, Charm’s Chairman, He Dang, and certain of his affiliates, would acquire all outstanding shares of Charm’s stock for $4.70 in cash per American Depositary Share, or $2.35 in cash per Class A ordinary share, and $2.35 in cash per Class B ordinary share. Currently, Dang and his affiliates collectively own approximately 55.3% of the Company’s stock.
