Mark Newcomb has been promoted to Vice President of
Corporate Accounts at Central Freight Lines, Inc. (NASDAQ:CENF). Rich
Stolz, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Central Freight
Lines, Inc. made the announcement today. Newcomb will continue to work
out of the company's Dallas offices and report to Stolz.
"Mark is a valued executive with an outstanding work ethic and
dedication to both our company and our customers," said Stolz. "With a
thorough understanding of our market strategies, competition and
customer expectations, he will play a principal role in corporate
sales. We are confident Mark will contribute significantly to our
revenue and productivity."

relationships that further Central's short and long-term goals, said
Newcomb. "This is an exciting time in Central's long history and I am
thrilled to be included in an insightful and experienced management
team."
In his new position, Newcomb will work closely with Central's
National Account Managers and their customer accounts. He will focus
on expanding sales initiatives, negotiating and securing
enterprise-level contracts, and maintaining sales cost efficiencies.
"Mark successfully negotiated partnerships resulting in significant
customer accounts," noted Stolz. "He has been instrumental in
developing an expanded relationship with The Home Depot."
Prior to his promotion, Newcomb served as Central's Managing
Director of Corporate Accounts. He has over 20 years in sales and
marketing experience and has worked for Central since 1999. Previous
posts include: Corporate Account Manager at GI Trucking; Sales Manager
at McKenzie Tank Lines; Branch Manager for Yellow Freight System; and
Account Executive at RM Sullivan Transportation.
