CATC Offers New Compliance Reporting Application from Expert
Analytical Systems
CATC to Distribute EAS Auditor(TM) Software Applications as an Option for
CATC's Fibre Channel and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Analysis Platforms
SANTA CLARA, Calif. and FLORENCE, Texas, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Computer Access Technology Corporation (CATC) (NASDAQ:CATZ), a global
communications protocol expert company and leading provider of advanced
verification systems and connectivity products for digital communications
standards, today announced that it would sell and support customized versions
of Expert Analytical Systems' Auditor family of protocol compliance reporting
software products.
The Auditor software is a post-processing application suite of tools. Its
analysis engines check and verify captured traces against every relevant rule
of the published protocol standards for compliance to the specifications. In
addition to this rules-based evaluation, the Auditor software provides a number
of protocol specific threshold and timeout tests based on user-defined
parameters. An evaluation against a 'best practices' rules-set is also
included. The Auditor software provides a variety of reports on each trace
including verification, architectural compliance, identified issues, and
performance.
"The work we have done to integrate the Auditor family of software products
work with CATC's FCTracer(TM) and SASTracer(TM) analyzers provides engineers
with an unparalleled protocol analysis tool," stated Joseph Mathis, CEO of EAS.
"When our Auditor application identifies an error or negative event, not only
can we provide information about that violation, such as the specification
document and clause that was violated, but we can seamlessly direct users back
to the CATC analysis application to see the complete context."
"The Auditor software is the perfect companion product for our protocol
analyzers. It gives our market the advanced evaluation and compliance tools
they need," said James Wright, marketing director at CATC. "Joe was a key
pioneer of Fibre Channel technology and has proven he can deliver quality
products and services to the market as the founder of Medusa Labs. We are
excited to offer the Auditor software to our customers."
CATC is now accepting orders for the Auditor software for use with its
award-winning FCTracer and SASTracer Fibre Channel and SAS protocol analyzers.
The basic Auditor software for Fibre Channel provides complete analysis of
FC-FS v1.7, layers FC1 and FC2 in addition to limited review of FCAL and FCP.
Add-on modules offer full analysis of FCAL and FCP. The basic Auditor software
for SAS analyzes all SSP bus traffic. An optional module reports on STP
protocol and another on SMP and SAS expander traffic.
