Candie's, Inc. Announces Fall New Advertising Campaigns
Ashlee Simpson to Appear in Candie's Campaign
NEW YORK, July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Candie's, Inc. (NASDAQ:CAND)
announced today that it has signed an exclusive agreement with singer/actress,
Ashlee Simpson to appear in the company's new fall advertising campaign. This
is the first such endorsement for Ashlee Simpson, who is following in the
footsteps of Kelly Clarkson, Jenny McCarthy, Destiny's Child and Ashanti, who
are all past Candie's girls. The print ads will debut in September issues of
fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazines.

Ashlee currently has her own reality show on MTV, "The Ashlee Simpson Show" and
her album, "Autobiography" will be in-stores on July 20th. She was also
nominated for "Fresh New Face" award at the Teen Choice Awards, to be broadcast
on August 11th on FOX.
Commenting on her Candie's campaign, Ashlee Simpson, stated, "I'm excited to be
a Candie's girl. Candie's always does tongue and cheek, very funny advertising
and they have a great sense of humor. The ads are always sexy and this is
actually the first sexy photo shoot I've done."

girly elements like teddy bears."
Ashlee will perform a live concert for Candie's customers and make two in-store
personal appearances at select retailers in major markets. In addition, the
company is finalizing a national sweepstakes with Ashlee for in-store and
on-line.
The campaign was shot by famed photographer, Davis Factor and created by
Candie's in-house marketing team. The campaign highlights Candie's footwear,
eyewear and newly launched handbags.
In other Company news, BONGO announced that it will continue its association
with Rachel Bilson for a second season. Rachel is also known as "Summer" from
Fox's hit show, "The O.C." Rachel will appear in the brand's fall print
advertising campaign to promote the BONGO lifestyle collection of Jeans, Tops,
Footwear, Swimwear, Handbags, Eyewear and Accessories. The ads will break in
August issues of fashion magazines.
