Syntax-Brillian Corporation (NASDAQ:BRLC), a leading manufacturer and
marketer of LCD HDTVs, digital cameras, and consumer electronics
products, announced today that it has initiated a process for the sale
of Vivitar, the Company’s brand of digital
still and video cameras. The sale process will occur separately from
Syntax-Brillian's Chapter 11 filing announced today. Vivitar is excluded
from the Chapter 11 filing and continues to conduct business as usual.
Syntax–Brillian has appointed KPMG Corporate
Finance LLC to advise in the sale process.
The Company will have no further comment until the completion of the
sale process.
