David Harris Joins Broadpoint AmTech as Principal and Research Analyst Covering the US REIT Sector

Broadpoint AmTech, a broker-dealer subsidiary of Broadpoint Gleacher Securities Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BPSG), today announced that David Harris has joined the firm as a Principal and Research Analyst responsible for covering the US REIT sector.

Mr. Harris has been involved with public property companies for more than 25 years and four property cycles. He has spent the last 15 years in the US serving in both buy-side and sell-side roles. As a senior REIT analyst with Lehman Brothers, Mr. Harris was involved with some of the largest REIT initial public offerings of the last decade and was highly regarded and recognized by investors for his balanced view of the sector. His prescient report, “After Seven Years of Plenty,” which he authored while at Lehman Brothers, cautioned investors about the risks related to excessive debt just two months before the peak of the REIT market in February 2007. David has a BSc. from De Montfort University, UK and became an associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1981.
