Bakers Footwear Announces Earnings Release Date and Webcast for First Quarter Fiscal 2006 Results

Bakers Footwear Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKRS) today
announced that the Company will report first quarter fiscal 2006
results on Friday, June 2, 2006 before the market opens. The Company
plans to conduct a conference call to discuss these results that same
day at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The conference call will be hosted by
Peter Edison, Chairman, Michele Bergerac, President and Lawrence L.
Spanley Jr., Chief Financial Officer.
