ALBANY, N.Y., Nov. 6  /PRNewswire/ -- The Walking Company, Inc., the leading retailer of comfort footwear in the U.S., today announced its new store in Albany, New York, will open its doors on Friday, Nov. 10.

The 1,500 square-foot store will feature the latest styles and designs from more than 40 premium comfort footwear brands such as ECCO, Mephisto and Dansko.  The Walking Company also offers a wide selection of comfort footwear from hard-to-find quality brands from around the world such as Pikolinos and Beautifeel.  The store will offer a comprehensive selection for every walk of life, including dress shoes, sandals, clogs, boots and active.  The Albany store will also feature an expanded comfort boot selection.

The store is located at Crossgates Mall, the Capital Region's premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination, offering an impressive selection of retail stores, services and restaurants.  The mall is located at the junction of Interstates 87 and 90, which is the busiest section of the New York State Thruway.  Situated in the vibrant Capital Region surrounding Albany, the mall draws visitors from a wide radius including Central New York, the North Country, Western Massachusetts and the Hudson Valley region.

The Walking Company store will be located on the upper level of the mall near the food court, and will be open Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.  Crossgates Mall has a mall walking program to promote good health; consumers can come to walk in a climate controlled measured course Monday-Saturday, 7:00-10:00 am and Sunday 7:00-11:00 a.m.
