Explanation of Responses:
(1)	On August 9, 2019, the reporting person purchased 1,238,052 from his brother in a privately negotiated transaction. The purchase price was fixed based upon the average of the high and low sale prices of the common stock on August 8, 2019.
(2)	The reported shares of common stock of Aware Inc. are held in a Class C Capital Account of John S. Stafford, III at Ronin Capital, LLC ("Ronin"), a limited liability company owned and managed by Mr. Stafford. Mr. Stafford is the indirect beneficial owner of all of the shares of common stock of Aware Inc. held of record by Ronin.
